Been a hectic 11 months around here, selling our old house, moving to a new one and trying to find a place for my joes and customizing. Finally got a little corner to myself and been knocking out the WIP box and slapping some new stuff together. I'm gonna try to post them here over the next few days. Bear with me, I just started using ImageShack so I've got to upload everything there and work out posting them.
Gonna start with these three that I call The Daughters of Onihashi. I liked the Vypra sisters from the Red Ninja 6 pack and the filecard said they were the daughters of Arashikage sword maker Onihashi. I wanted to give them a bit more personality and change their looks for a little more individuality. Added a third sister I after started working on them, there may be more depending on parts availability. I tried to keep the red and the neat detailing from the original figures. These ladies are part of my Reddokuran, the Red Ninja clan.
---------------------------------------------------
Known as The Daughters of Onihashi, The Dark Master's Wives, or The Sisters, these dangerous women are always found together and strike with an unrelenting mercy. Little is known of their background. No one knows if they are even related to one another or Onihashi for that matter. Their technique is obviously Arashikage inspired but Storm Shadow has found no record of them in Arashikage history. They have aligned themselves with The Reddokuran and seem to take orders from The Dark Master and no one else. GI Joe operatives are warned no to take these women lightly, they are extremely dangerous by themselves and deadly together.
-------------------------------------------------
The first sister was pieced together while watching The Animatrix. Started with the Elizabeth Swan parts and added GI Joe parts around that.
The second sister was inspired by the original figure. Curious if I could make the Storm Shadow torso more feminine. I think it worked out okay.
The third was an idea that came to me and I needed to salvage that Scarlett torso that I butchered during a totally different custom attempt. Started here with the POTC lower legs and worked up. I attempted to change up the Beachhead mask with a more Middle Eastern look with the draping front. I wasn't really feeling this one until I added the belt from an Indiana Jones temple guard.
And a prepaint shot of all three
