I've got a back log of Cobra/McCullen cultists I'm always tinkering with and enjoy seeing your Cthluhu work for additional inspiration.

A big, big break through for me was just letting go of worrying about the lower body not having as much articulation as a "standard" figure. Seeing someone else not letting static lower bodies get in the way of a good robe/ceremonial design makes me feel better about going that way with some of my own work... some how I feel like I'm "cheating" if there's not as much articulation as possible, when really I'd be happier with just finishing the figure rather than worrying about if there are knee joints under the robes.

Awesome work, and the group shot look great.

Thank you all.

Pluv, thank you that means a lot.

DrBindy, oh my Zeus I saw that. I immediately started looking on EBay for it. Found one for just over $200. It’s super tempting. I’d love to have one. But I’m more worried about getting that body armor hoodie for school next year so it’ll have to wait.

2Dark the guy you asked about was made a few years back and I posted it then. Not sure it made it to the gallery though. The pillar is a miniature. Not sure what line. If I can figure it out I’ll post a link.

DOTD don’t thank me. Thank Spectre. I’ve been to his place a few times and love his collection a lot of which is lower articulated figures. His work inspired me to break out all these 5 poa figures to make these. Heck I’m never going to play with them. I would like to display them though which means articulation isn’t super important

I've only seen and read a handful of Lobo appearances, but he looks spot on to me! I kinda like the Rob Zombie / dreadlocked look he's been increasingly leaning into. Not that even that is horribly contemporary, but it at least updates a little more than just 80's space biker. Nice take.

awesome as always.

I agree with all yous about the low-artic figures when the situation suits them. Some "people" in our figure verses don't need to move like Neo from the Matrix. And some are quite specifically background characters. Doesn't mean you can't still make them awesome, like here. Paint and accessories blend them in well with the other figs.

And please do pm me when that body armor thing is ready to roll. Very much behind my pledge

mars rover turned wasteland death dealer. with those wheels i'd bet he could go strait up between two close buildings.

"drone or die" is pretty funny, like "skate or die" video game.

Thanks man. That's what I'm going for. I'm creating a survivor character that specializes in drones.

Glad you got the reference. :)

I’ve had this MTF figure since they released the color and just finally got around to doing something with it.

I started by spraying it with a clear matte, which due to how old the can is, have the figure a smoky coating which I actually liked. Then I touched up all the paint apps and added a dark wash. Then came weathering. There are two tan dry brushings plus a splattering if brown and red. The finishing touch was a machete I received from 2Dark.

All in all I’m really happy with this one.

I give to you the ATR version of...

Ice Cream Soldier

that weathering is great! I had a can of clear that did that, I set it under the cabinet a couple yrs ago. then just recently I grabbed it and sprayed my tancada, ooops. then I had to repaint!

Super Trooper.

Inspired by the one by Marauder Reuben. I put the BFS arms in the MTF torso rather then the whole BFS torso and arm swap.

I also added the arm straps and pouches.

The shield had a broken handle so I added the handle from a BFS shield.

I also used a classic looking helmet as well as a modern helmet.
