So I've made so many customs I've just decided to thru all in one thread...

Starting with...

Vypra v2
I couldn't replicate the floral pattern BUT...I like the way it came out.

Its RET Jinx and I THINK a Voracious skirt.

Image

Crimson Guard Immortal v2
This bad boy is made from a Low-Light body, with a CGI head from AVAC.
The gun is a combo of a machine gun from...I think ROC Reaptor, glued to a Cobra Trooper bazooka.

Image

Next up...Metal Head...
Nearly all Marauder...except the head is a ROC Destro IX and the goggles are from Specialist Dusty (the blue one)

Image

Less custom...more customized I gave the FSS Inferno B.A.T. a head that was more in line with the original Inferno B.A.T. which had a v2 head. No its not a red translucent head BUT I tried to match the color as best as I could.

PS...if anyone knows any customizer making or selling a red translucent B.A.T. v2 head feel free to point me in the direction of it.

Image

The Stars and Stripes gang...mostly...
From l to r...Rock 'n' Roll, Zap, Short Fuse, Breaker (yes I know Grunt is missing still gathering parts for him) I but I made them none the less.

Its odd...these versions of the characters are sooooo off model from the characters I often think of them as different characters than who their supposed to be. One day I will rename them and give them new profiles to fill out my ranks even further (even that Grunt I need to make).

But I probably will never make a version of the SnS SE, Stalker and Scarlett. Mainly because the SnS figures (while odd colors) still resemble their v1 counterparts pretty much. Its not like their so VASTLY different that renaming them would help in any way.

SE because it so similar to v1.
Scarlett *MIGHT* be a possibility but frankly v1 Scarlett covers Scarlett just fine so its a *SERIOUSLY* low profile on my customs to be made list.
And Stalker is already made with 2008's Sgt. Stalker from the UBP set.

Good work :) . Vypra is my favourite, your version looks more Cobra and menacing than the original one.

Vypra V2 is really an underappreciated figure. Your update here is fantastic.

Nice work. The pattern painting on Vypra is eye catching.

Funny thing about Vypra II is because I couldn't replicate that floral pattern I was really bummed out at how it came out.

BUT...seeing it in pic...and the reactions its got online have been....well thank you all.

That paint pattern is nothing to be disappointed in. Can totally understand it being different from what you want / the original, but it's sharp and stylistic and looks great.

I actually liked G.I. Joes Valor vs Venom era.

The idea that Cobra would enhance their troops with animal DNA is pretty cool.

What I didnt like was that it was kinda lazily done.

At one point they literally just took the Snow Serpent Polar Assault trooper and just called him...Snow Wolf.

Same figure...different name.

Today...I made a true hybrid version...a true Snow Wolf.

snow wolf is really creative. isn't there an episode of the old cartoon where mindbender makes wolf people?

that drednok set is pretty cool. what was the story line with the original set? to be so uniform it makes me wonder how they operate with a bunch of raggedy noks! zartan sextuplets who wrestled as masked lucha libre?

Yes thats the episode where Iceberg turns into a whale.

As for the Dreadheads...its a weird story. Apparently their identical cousins (no joke), who have an ongoing beef with Beach Head. That goes back to when Billy-Bob tried to steal Beach Head's girlfriend at a dance. And apparently it ended in a big brawl where Beach Head got the best of them, and they ended up having to flee.

Seems they have held a grudge ever since then, and have joined up as Dreadnok recruits to get revenge on Beach Head.

Its a pretty lame story.

Overall I just think of them as hillbillies that hooked up with the Dreadnoks.

I've done a more faithful version of the Con exclusive...but felt like playing a bit, and making him look more...dragon like.

That's not a bad idea...but I might use gold to keep the color scheme.
