Hi there, I have decided to post all the customs I have made in the past, and I feel it might be better to post them all together, as some are minor conversions. I think it will be easier for all.

And so, starting with the most recent I have pictured and classified;

Diminisher; a full repaint of Chief Torpedo. I saw it as a figure with good potential, and so I created this character for the Action Force, to equilibrate with my vast hordes of Cobra and GI Joe;

Image

Image

Image

Drumstick; this one I haven't even figured it out myself yet. Was supposed to be a sort of futuristic rebel, and I tried some different techniques on him. I rebranded him as a AWOL retriever specialist, trained in capturing renegade GI Joes or traitors.

Image

Image

Image

Now on to the new Steel Brigades. Bought a good amount of Gears in China (back when they were dead cheap) and thought that it would be cool to make an improved version of the Steel Brigade. I casted the head modifying it so it has a ball-neck. The leader uses gold-green inspired by the Gold Steel Brigade.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Radical Red; an anarchist vent on destruction, chaos, upheaval, rioting and more. Wanted to use Barbecue's head on a repaint and went for the full red with inkings.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Rosen Ritter; probably not many have seen the anime "Legend of the Heroes of the Galaxy". Anyway, I saw that the head on the movie Cobra Commander was very similar to these space troopers from this anime, and so I went on to make one. Could work as a Cobra space trooper. They wield axes as any laser would trigger a complete explosion in the starships (due to some gas) and so they all fight with these axes (just in case you were wondering)

some nice stuff!

the backs of your steel brigade look like BAT chest plates with the primary colored wires. it's really interesting!

radical red is my favorite! what is inking? I just used those holsters on my phantom.

those rosen ritter are striking, good job matching your source pic.

Thanks for your comment ;-) . The body of Barricade is very nicely sculpted, pity that maybe the head wasn't as good as the body. It has lots of nice details to paint.

Radical Red is one of my favourites also :) . When I refer to inkings, it is either using actual chinese ink, or diluting paint until it is runny and behaves like an ink. In this case, I used both, black ink and diluted brown paint, to highlight all details. Usually I just paint a dark base, and then highlight the details, but you get another effect if you use the ink method, more precise and tidy.

I'll post five more, starting with one with modern body;

Nightcheck; inspired by a mortal kombat custom, I thought the colours were cool so I made it with whichever parts I had available. In my Joeverse is a Action Force night watchman.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Ninja Breaker; Cobra's answer to the onslaught done by GI Joe Ninjas. A special trainer to teach Cobra troopers how to fight against Ninjas, or at least survive enough time to sound the alarm.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Overflow; browsing on the internet I found this weird GIF image, and thought it would be great inspiration for a GI Joe. I didnt think much about it's backstory yet.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Secret Empire Trooper; taken from a Marvel Comics trooper, a comic of Hawkeye if I remember right (this customs are over 5 years old!).

Image

Image

Image

Image

Finally for today, Shock Viper. A Viper specialized in resisting any amount of enemy fire, with a revolutionary modern bubble reactive armour. I had this idea after cutting one of those rubber squeeze toys, that are filled with small plastic balls. I got an ARAH figure, covered it with glue, and carefully dipped it in the small spheres, then sprayed to achieve this look. Logo is decal printed.

OK, that Shock Viper is such a radical idea. That's going the extra mile to make a custom.

Thanks! you can see higher resolution pictures on my blog; https://cobrafactor.blogspot.com/

To see them in higher resolution, just save the picture. The original resolution is 1200x1600. I'll try to leave them slightly bigger in here.

Yes, I embrace all aspects of GI Joe. The only thing I haven't done is a GI Joe custom bigger or smaller than 3.75 inches, as I only see them in this scale.

5 more today! ;

Struggler was a Red Shadows operative that defected, and joined the secretive group Ypsilon Underground, bent on making collapse all modern nations and political systems, so that in the ensuing chaos they would reign supreme. I had this Indiana Jones figure, apparently unusable for anything good, when it occurred to me that it would make a great custom in long coat.

Image

Image

Image

Image

"Everything about Tabú is shrouded in mystery. Few have learned something about him, none have survived to tell whatever they have found out. Some rumours incline us to believe he has worked for the Red Shadows. It seems that not even them are aware of it. Hundreds of terrorist actions mainly in the middle east are attributed to him. None have been proved"

Wanted to do something with desert sand effect, and so was born Tabú. A bit inspired by Prince of Persia.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Ultimatum is a rather obscure Marvel character, a sort of terrorist that appears as minor enemy. But I thought he would make a terrific GI Joe, and hence, I made my version; I used a Cobra Trooper 25th head, legs of a GI Joe Grunt or similar, and upper torso of a Indiana Jones figure. Sculpted beret and goggles.

Image

Image

Image

This is the T.A.R. robot, GI Joe answer to the BAT. In a lot of situations, GI Joe cannot afford to lose an agent, and to get inside booby-trapped bases and other most possible traps, GI Joe has developed this robot that will save countless lives and perform dangerous and operations that require huge strength or other resistance to elements -lack of oxygen, fire, etc- .

I had a lot of Avalanches, and thought that one of the few equivalences never matched before was the BAT. And so, here it is;

Image

Image

Image

This is Project 52, the 52nd attempt of a series of projects by Dr Mindbender to achieve the ultimate Cobra warrior. The 52nd, escaped and now roams freely around Cobra Island.

Image

Image

Image

And finally, here you can show a WIP pic of some of the figures I've just posted;

There is so much fun stuff going on here from the sculpted heads to cool camo patterns to bubble reactive armor. I am a fan.

Many thanks :) . Glad to like them, I always try to do different and fun customs. I'll keep posting more;

Biotech; GI Joe radioactive and NBQ specialist. It differs from the Eco Warriors as he isn't about environmental reasons, but just to use radioactive weapons and fighting in radioactive or heavily contaminated zones.

Image

Image

Blockhouse; Cobra specialist for fighting in urban areas, with extra heavy armour.

Image

Image

Image

Cascada; GI Joe specialist in river underwater operations.

Image

Image

Image

Cobra de Aço; the famous brazilian variant, but upgraded with more modern parts. I took the idea another customizer (my good friend Hit & Run from Casa Slaughter).

Image

Image

Deathlayer; the equivalent of Tripwire and Lightfoot. I realized Cobra doesn't have (that I know) any proper minelayer or explosive disposal (you could argue Firefly puts bombs here and there, but is always in a sort of commando purposes, and besides this, there is just one).

Image

Image

You can see more pictures of some of them in my blog; https://cobrafactor.blogspot.com/

Thanks :) . It wasn't easy to take, I had to repeat it with my brother pouring water 10 times or so :) .

5 more;

Firerain; Action Force flamethrower specialist;

Image

Image

Mars Viper; This is a small step for the world, but a great step for Cobra! Cobra has arrived to Mars! Hurrah! Long live Cobra Commander! yes, Cobra have been looking for a challenge, and with their advanced technology, the colonization of Mars has become a reality.

Image

Image

Image

Metro Viper; Cobra has ordered a new specific Viper to pilot the Cobra Rage. Due to budget limitations, the same suit of Track Viper has been used with modified capabilities.

Image

Image

Image

Roadbasher; the Dreadnoks have found something in the car graveyard that has taken their attention.... a discarded Snowmobile? call Monkeywrench! that calls for some Dreadnok engineering!

Image

Image

Image

Stronghold; GI Joe specialized in holding out and preparing defensive positions. The main idea of this custom came from the accesory, which I don't know where it came but it is very cool.

that last shot of stronghold is art! beyond our art of customizing!

the nok road basher looks like a lawnmower from hell, in a good way :) in that first pic I thought there was an outboard motor on the rear, like from the devil fish, for aquatic missions . looks to be only a fuel cell. what's sjamn' ??

Thanks :) . Back when I was doing these customs I took a lot of time on the pictures, trying to find the best view possible, etc... photography is indeed an art, and photographing figures is an art of it's own!

It should say (in Dreadnoks calligraphy) "Keep Slaming GI Joe", as to mean keep bashing them, keep hitting them. For more information, please ask the Dreadnok involved in the writing :-P .

5 more;

TAR 2; (Trooper Automatic Robot) this is the TAR made specifically for explosives manipulation. They have been made as to be of one use, they are in charge of carrying a explosive device to a Cobra base for example, and detonate it, and if something goes wrong before just a robot has been lost. They are also used to deactive explosives.

Image

Image

Turbo Viper; I always thought that such a cool backpack needed a own action figure. The motorized battle packs would have been probably much more succesful if sold with a figure. Anyway, Turbo Viper is prepared to accelerate to tremendous speeds, in those situations where inmmediate action is needed. Thanks to it's low profile, Turbo Vipers can advance through sewers, channel lines, and through the traffic without having to stop.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Here another vehicle, the Vanguard. I made this tank for the Action Force, in special night camouflage.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Killer Whale South Wind; I had this Killer Whale with some pieces missing, and I thought; such a dark green is rather dull, why not customize it? and so I did. This is my biggest GI Joe custom up to date. Basically it is a repaint with some extra weapons added.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Aircrash; I had a spare Backblast missile launcher to customize, and I thought a nemesis for Backblast would be in order, so was born Aircrash.

some really striking vehichles. that green striped black tank is so wrong that it's right, like a puppy so ugly that it's cute! from the side the giant missile launchers atop a thin support made me lol

the whale in southern breeze camo affectionately called "spotted dick" by some of the nato troops aboard is the envy of the fleet :drinkingbuddies:
