#54 Predacon

The science fiction element in GI Joe is love it or hate it. 1994 was a tipping point of too much sci-fi, and Predacon exemplifies it. I'm a hater, especially when the science fiction wasn't just a drizzle of future science, like the HAL or BATS, but outright outlandish stuff from outer space. My first inclination was to do this as a silly illustration. But instead I approached it in the same approach I've done with all of the other drawings so far.

Facial nubs, four arms, oversized feet. The figure has small plant-like protrusions at the elbows, but I left those off- and also took some liberties with the forehead. Predacon isn't the kind of stuff I usually draw, but it turned out be fun.

As a bonus, I've also re-colored Predacon matching (more or less) the red Mexican release variant, complete with its shiny space pants.

Thanks.

I was thinking John "Hannibal" Smith from the A-Team with the cigar, not sure why.
