The last year went by in the blink of an eye, at least for me. I got a lot made and didn’t finish even more.

With the new year comes a new thread

To start it off. This figure was made for a Secret Santa project in a Facebook page I run. I was sent a set of random parts; head, torso, arms, legs. Then it was up to me to make a figure out of them.

Here’s what I was sent

you really packed a lot of detail into this one! looks like a modern wasteland survivor before they get all dusted up.

Thanks guys. I want to go back and dirty this guy up. I was struggling with a name for this guy so Marvin it is.

The flu has been beating me down for the last week. Today I was able to take some pics before the headache and wave after wave of dizziness slammed into me again.

Anyway, here’s Lavigne

He is heavily inspired by the work of both Bruce F Chargualaf and Empire Toy Works. I wanted to create a character that could walk around Rotgut Station getting into trouble.

Lavigne was born.

I tried a couple new things on this one. I used hockey tape to make the bandana. I used heat shrink wrap for a pistol holster and tablet holster. I used magnets to attach accessories. The rocket launcher and small rifle are held on with magnets. The larger rifle in the rifle pack uses the back peg. I had to open up the rifle pack and used shrink wrap for that as well. Overall I’m really happy with this one.

really nice! I still haven't used heatshrink for a full holster yet. it works double layered really well too if you need it to be tougher.

Here is a super simple LBC. All I did was paint the neck.

These two photos were taken less then a second apart yet the colors are wildly different.

it's the new fortnite 4" figure, inferno?

that devil is wicked! crazy how one pic is so different! lighting really is everything. sometimes I put my camera on "flash" then cover or partly cover it with my finger. that gives me all kinds of orange muted light.

Hey, someone else who's a fan of Empire Toy Works! Great work all around but I really like Lavigne . Can you give us a parts break-down? I tried my hand at a similar humanoid robot, the outcome was o.k.

Thing is, I didn't change anything about the lighting. In one pic I had the camera the normal way for the other I held my phone topside down so the camera was at the bottom. I find it takes better pics this way, at least every version of the iphone I've used this has held true.

Head and arms from joy toy. The rest is Marauder. Gear from all over.

I get better pics with my camera turned on it's side :) upside down "might" change how the lens gets light if your holding it at any angle towards or away from the light.

really it's the debil and you should send it to me for a proper disposal....
