I saw the Elf and Warthog a few days ago and meant to comment but, you know, life. Just fantastic work on him. Your paint and parts use have always been fantastic, but I really think your sculpting skills have jumped leaps and bounds

A couple months back I took on a commission for a guy that is starting his own indie comic, We Are Ego

It started as two characters, then became 5, and is now 7.

I have the first five completed.

Here is the image I used to design them.

Here are my customs

From the creator, “Short shorts is, Red Gravy.
Fat guy with beard is Sandy gravy (brothers). Girl is Yillia. Suit guy is White. Guy with afro is Zach Benga.”

I tried a lot of new stuff on these.

Here are the next two I’m working on

This one is nearly done. I’m just running into chopping issues and sanding isn’t fixing the problem for some reason.

This is all pieced together and I started painting.

i love how close you are getting to your source pics, especially the beastly two. is the rooster head cut from a static figure? the legs on puma look just like the art.

Thanks man.

Yeah, the head is off of a plastic rooster.

When the guy sent me the pics I knew exactly what I wanted to use for the lower legs, it's part of the reason I said I'd do the figure.

Holy "LASER BLAST" man. Those are awesome in their own right, but as a commission from a comic creator? And to nail the source like that? This is A+ project of the year territory.

Also, on your earlier reply to me, I appreciate the nod, but I am merely a Duke of Fantasy. Our own Cap remains King of that realm. :)

back to that crazy rooster. it is just scary good. i'd probably hang a smoke out of his beak, but that's probably not cool anymore :) i'd love to see the puma in some dynamic poses. like slinking through crisscrossed lasers.

These are really great likenesses to the images. I love seeing projects like this come to life.
