great paint on the transformer and big creepy guy.

the sci-fi dio is going to be great. i'd love a gun wall like that. is it from yarn crafting squares? what about the hooks that hpld the weapons?

Thanks!

The wall is that crafting square. The hooks are cut up plastic tabs from a thing that had twine on it.

I've been wanting to tackle an armory for a while, that looks great!

While I am really happy with the figure. I’m far less happy with the dio. It’s missing something.

Does it just need a roof piece of some sort? Maybe even just a support beam and a few wires/hoses running across the top, maybe one hanging down he can plug into?

I think it looks great as is. I can see what you mean but at the same time if the dio is too busy, it's going to start over shadowing what ever is being photographed in it.

The roof beam and wires are great ideas. I'll see what I can whip up.

I was more thinking color though. I was kinda thinking of going over everything with some sort of off-white/beige, then silver weathering, and a dirty brown wash. Not sure though...

i was picturing it white, dirty but white. it looks good, but just not what i was expecting. if you leave it dark some yellow stripes or tech here and there might make it pop.

Here’s where I went with it so far.

I only did the one wall so I could paint it back to black if I wanted.

2Dark I specifically don’t want white. I know I want it darker but I feel like it is too dark (no pun intended)

Soooo did I screw it up or not?

I will say it feels more like a stucco material and I’m okay with that. Who knows what this dude makes his ship out of. Could be techno organic or something.

I’ll paint the bar, which did wonders for stability, black. Then add some wires. Also added a red LED. I may add a second as I didn’t get it centered the way I wanted.

My thoughts now are to do the other wall with the white and around the port hole, the raised part only, the same way. Then put a couple things for the ceiling and call it done.

Then it’s time to start the second cube I made, the prison cell.

So who's the robo dude and whats he made from? Looks like a Chap Mei head and Firefly torso.

I don’t quite know who he is yet.

The head is a cast I’ve had for a long time, probably cast from a Lanard or Chap Mei figure. The torso and upper arms are Firefly. The lower arms are Cobra Commander. The hands are from some gasaphon robots I ordered from Japan. The legs are Vulture. The feet Iron Man. The pack is Destro.

I originally planned for the head to be Dr Mindbender after he was bitten by a zombie. I imagined he used his psycho skills and various tech to keep himself somewhere between alive and undead. But then building this figure it didn’t fit what I pictured in my head so I figured he’d become a character in my small SciFi verse.
