I hated the club’s Adventure Team offerings. By the time they released them those bodies were already dated in terms of range of movement. Enter Marauder’s World War 2 figures and the Marine blank is almost on point. I thought about painting the Marine’s boots all black but really wanted the untucked pants look. I tried a lower leg swap by removing the pins and cutting off the little stopper on the knee joint. It fit perfectly without any other mods. Just had to match the camo paint. :/

I went with the DTC Major Barrage head because the skintones matched and he has a bushy looking hair.

I was going to do a simple backyard photoshoot, but I really wanted some natural scenery. I took him and Adventure Guy adventuring. Then did base camp in picnic area. It was so hot and humid down on the river that morning. My shirt shirt was fully drenched just from playing with toys.

And because it was asked else this morning, the Jeep originally looked like this but with alcohol, q-tips, and magic eraser I was able to remove the factory blue marlin tampos.

I have two reactions to this:

1. It's awesome. The figure looks fantastic (and the paint-matching on the lower legs is very, very well done), and those vehicles are equally fantastic! I can't believe I haven't seen some of those before, but I love that they exist, and now I want some.

2. You beat me to it! I was planning on using that marine figure as a base for a Land Adventurer, too, but I hadn't found a set of lower legs that matched well enough for my tastes. Yours works so well that I know what I'll be ripping off tomorrow.

Beautiful work.

It took about an hour total. I did it while watching a movie so it didn't feel as bad as it probably was, but it did take some elbow grease. I will say, once you see part of it dissappearing, you know the rest is about to vanish too. Then it is a matter of going back in with the qtips to get anything around the edges.

The helicopter was part of an earlier 25th Joe Colton custom - http://www.joecustoms.com/customs/custo ... =9&id=1025
and the figure in his various looks here

And the 6 wheeled trouble shooter is with the traveling JC display. That one is based on the Corps vehicle.

Adventure Guy has been around for a while, Retaliation Kwinn body with a 25th Zap head. The main two hlping the tiger cub are just quick head swaps LBCs. Rise of Cobra Repeater head on Rise of Cobra Roadblock body. I misplaced the head for the female while putting stuff away but it is that Marauder head that is in her hand in that the bald head's Marauder skintone, and her body is Shooter. The original idea when I was thinking about how/who to fill the camp with was Link (newsculpt era Navy Seal/Vetinarian) and Carla Greer (aka female Doc), but then it really just became about bodies to fill out the visual story. The other figure by the hut is a straight up Chap Mei figure

The revolver is in the pic above. CoD MegaConstrux does weapons really well. The pistols work amazing with no mods and this particular one came with the single packed WWII pilot. The rifles not so much. Plus, since both Walmart and Dollar General carry them, they fairly cheap and easy to acquire...as long as you aren't lloking for any thing particular in a timely fashion.

I did a Joe Colton “Jr” using an MTF modern armored camo guy. Totally going to do a retro Sr. With this recipe
