Does anyone have a trick for handling Marauder's belts that have holes for their peg system? I've got a bunch of the WW2 belts for some customs, but don't like the look with the holes... If it were just one I could use green stuff and fill and sand, but there's gotta be a better way?

Just looking for ideas...

not specific to those belts, i don't have any to try, but i've had success filling oops holes with both UV glue and hot glue. back with good masking or metal duct tap and then fill. cure the UV or press the hotglue with a wet finger then you can paint. i have black hotglue that is ver rubbery that i bet would look good on most belts, you might get lucky and find a closer color.

didn't Marauder also make just blank pegs to fill the holes? or am I thinking of something else?

if you could print a plug that inserted from the back w/wings to stop it on the inside it might work good. hard to describe it but kind of like the snap back hat closure.

They have flat panels for flag/insignia stickers you could use. The small armor plates or helmet plugs would do the trick too.

Trying to maintain as flat a look as possible, but plugging them from behind might work alright, not a bad thought.

The panels work alright on the bodies, I just wish there were uniform belts without all the holes.

Also, the black hot glue is another interesting solution.

Thanks gang.

yeah, the most unique thing about MTF figures is also one of the most daunting - too many pouches, clips, guns, choices, holes... :shifty:, and loose "LASER BLAST".

Drbindy said it: I love the Marauders stuff, but I definitely wouldn't miss the ports. They actually keep me from using the figures for customs very often, although I use the bits on other non-Marauder figures all the time, so I guess it's kind of a fair trade-off.

I end up using a metric ton of the helmet plugs: they're a simple fix if I don't feel like spending hours trying to deal with the port holes.

I also use the small armor panels on belts and what-not, but I usually cut off about a half-millimeter on the belt or whatever I'm plugging it into so that it doesn't stick out quite so far. It makes them a little less visually clunky, at least for my tastes.

Super glue and baby powder/baking soda/corn starch. The powders act as a catalyst causing the superglue to dry instantly. It also makes the glue sandable. A little messy at first until you get the hang of it, but you won’t find anything quicker or cheaper.

Definitely an option, but the belts would be pretty permanent after that. I think the rigid repairs would crack if they were removed.

This is probably the method I'd try if I only had a few holes to fill. Looking at at least 24 holes I think, hoping to figure out something I can do en mass quickly.

maybe figure out what diameter would plug the hole then look for material (rubber trim, or gasket?) of some sort that comes in a roll or stick. look at caulk or tube adhesives to see what will stick to rubber.

being able to remove without damage will really limit your options. maybe using joe belts with their gear will be the thing to do. sell their belts and buy ones that you like.

What about a generic rubber cord that could plug into the hole?
