Awesome! He even looks like a space villain. Think I know a way to get him to scale now that I'm thinking about it. Just now figuring out how to get his skin to look like that.

Hey all!

Newest custom is actually a minor update to an already awesome figure. Who remembers this guy?:

Image

This is the G.I. Joe Retaliation Cyber Ninja. Cool piece with nice design, articulation and accessory loadout. In my opinion, that head.

Image

THAT HEAD! Why? WHY?! Needs to go...

Ok. I joke. It's just alright but I wanted to do better. This is one of the very few times I've bought a figure just to fix it. I bought him and replaced his head:

The head is from the Retaliation Data Viper, which I also picked up for this project. Blue highlights were added to make it work with the rest of his suit.

Additional accessories include a loose ROC laptop and Data Viper's drone. The drone also received some minor highlights.

This all culminates into an even better Cyber Ninja. What we got was some guy who's a master of stealth with superhuman reflexes, assassination and stealth skills. Then I thought "that's it?" Here we have a living weapon of the future and we're content with just the physical aspect of the character? Too cliche.

Image

So I instead combined aspects of the Data Viper! Cyber Ninja is both a sick black hat hacker and cyber assassin infiltrator! He's a cyber terrorist in both the field and silicone valley. You need a dude murdered and a virus planted to sink his company simultaneously? Here's your guy.

His 'pet' drone can protect and scout for him whilst he's on his laptop up to something sinister. His new helmet may allow him extra capabilities to code. Not to mention everything his suit and equipment can already allow him to do like keep up with the likes of Snake Eyes. Love this guy more now.

Thanks guys. Didn't think this would qualify as a real custom due to how minor it is. I like this a bit too much though. I looked at him yesterday and thought "Metal Gear Solid?" Heheh.

Now this Orc lady. Not sure what direction to take her, but she's certainly going somewhere already.

Still collecting parts and drawing concepts. Will show more later.

That head swap on the cyber ninja is perfect.

The backstory you developed to build out your character can be just as important as the custom itself. Between the two, you did a great job and have me thinking about making a Cyber Ninja of my own.

Thanks, Flash. You've just given me more confidence in minor customs :). If I do anymore I'll be sure to show them off.

Here's a real update.

Finally finished the shaman staff for our Margax. Main ingredients are putty, thick thread, wires. Wires were implanted into putty shapes to maintain structure and provide strength. the rest of the putty all around the object was painted. The feather is from a Marvel Legends Puma head. Was a lot of fun to build. Learned some techniques painting this too. Feeling more bold about trying some of these techniques on the rest of the gang now. Margax isn't finished yet. Still building her totems. Each represents a different element. Will be back with pics of those.

Here is an update to The Intruder Commander. He was given BFS barefeet; painted and customized his hands; and gave him BFS cut chestplate. I considered adding shin guards but felt that that would have made his slowly growing complex design to become perhaps too complicated. I was going to use the BFS Gladiator shin guards.
