So as I was working on Gung-Ho I came across this Marauder GR hat but it was too big to fit the Roadblock head, but it fit the Lanard Rampage Dwayne Johnson head perfectly. Then I needed a character for the head and Leatherneck struck me. A little green stuff mustache and hair sealed the deal. I had used the Crossbones lower legs for Gung Ho so I swapped in some Roadblock lowers on Crossbones.

After finishing the little bird, I needed a dedicated pilot for The Adventure Team. I've always had a soft spot for Dogfight and I felt his look would go well with the team.

The head is cobbled together from a cast Torch head, a Marauder WWII German officer hat, and a headset from some other line.

Image

The hat was too big for the head so I split it and trimmed out some of the middle. I also had to split the head set because it was too small. A little green stuff filled the gaps and then I trimmed the hat into shape.

Image

I wanted a 25th Shipwreck body for the base torso. I wasn't willing to pay ebay prices and my trade partner didn't have one. Plan B was thus ROC body that I had broken the neck and hand off. I used a Boss Fight neck post to replace the ball and some Negative Man hands fit pretty good after drilling the wrist holes larger.

Image

The whole Adventure Team for now.

another great build. i think dogfight looks like the mythbusters guy, or maybe both guys crammed into one. amazing how well those arms work as coat sleeves. i have that exact body only in "salmon?" camo on my desk right now trying to plan out my pred. team.

Recondo was one of my first figures way back in the day and they have never released another version that measured up to that iconic look. I've wanted an updated version but never could make it happen myself. I finally got this cast head that was perfect except it was hatless. I tried multiple hats but nothing fit to my liking. I finally trimmed the head and glued a modern Recondo hat in place.

I started painting based on the original.

But, as painting I just didn't have a "place" for him in my display. It dawned on me to put him the Tiger Force so I gave him a complete repaint based on the V2 with a little extra cover added in. Now he can hide for like 2 weeks in October.

My complete Tiger Force.

he looks good. i love the group shot. tigerforce was my last blast with joes as a kid so they have always been special.

the mythbuster comment, not good or bad :) just that character reminds me of them in general.

Dogfight is looking great - and I love the idea of him being the AT pilot. In my latest "JoeVerse Reboot", I've got Wild Bill as a retired pilot who used to fly for Joe Colton's team, but was brought back in to lead flight ops for the newly-formed GI Joe team. I've got a couple of "pilots" on my AT (Steve Austin being one of them) but not a dedicated one - I was going to go for a generic "Air Adventurer", but I might rethink that now.

Awesome job!

I had a request to print this minotaur as large as possible on my printer. This is the largest single piece model I could print and was a bit smaller than requested. I really dug the design so I printed another multi piece model as requested and painted this up as a "golden calf" unearthed and began my idea for a temple of evil filled with these idols worshipped through time.

Random big headed dinosaur I picked up at a yard sale. I had a poor attempt at splitting a base for printing but decided to try and use it for this.

The Lizard King, Mojo Rizon.

A happy meal toy of some sort I've had in my fodder box for years. The base is pieced together for an assortment of containers.

A group shot with Cobra Commander for scale.

I did not catch the name before I read this. Great name for a Lizard King.

These are cool, have an Ancient Spirits of Evil from Mumm-Ra's pyramid vibe.

That was my goal! I hope to finish my 2 versions of Mumm-Ra one day to face off against my AWOK figs.
