I've had this minotaur head from Vortious Customs for several years now and finally decided to do something with it. Originally I was going to try to mount it to a BFS Kawiki neck for a bull creature but changed my mind when I found a MU Ulik figure. I dremeled out the head to fit the neckball and neck muscles of the Ulik figure. Then I sculpted on some fur under the head around the neck area. I'm going to add bits of a Roman soldier skirt from BFS to cover his no-no area and probably some spiky shoulder pads or something from a BFS Orc to the brass knuckles so they aren't so plain. I'm keeping the color of the base figure as is because I like it a lot for this guy. So the majority of the paint work will be touchups, accents and the neck fur and head.

Before I continue on I'm wondering if he needs a little more sculpted fur or if he's hairy enough. I don't want him to get into sasquatch territory but I feel like he could use a little something more. Or maybe he's just a simple creature? I don't know.

I agree. Back hair running down his spine and a tail. Oh, ohhh! And some metal piercings heheh. Like on his nose or left ear. Another cool idea is for braids made from yarn. Yes. I am thinking of Tauren from Warcraft when I look at him.

it would be awesome to be able to find hooves that work, but i don't have any suggestions unless there was an old Brayer type bull of some kind

I’ve been thinking he needs more fur on the back, like the big humps that bison have. So I’m going to try to add that and some more fur down his back. Maybe at least covering the bulgy back muscles.

Not sure about a tail though. A BFS demon tail might work if I can get it a paint to match the base figure.

Jm70 I thought a lot about hooves but couldn’t come up with any that would work on these thick legs.

you know, you could just probably cut/grind those toes off to be hooves. BUT, for that matter, I like that he has toes - if I wanted a straight-up minotaur looking thing, I could just buy one of narnia's or papo's offerings.

yeah, toe grinding would work great for kind of a mutated hoof look. I don't think I put a tail on my minotaur, but for something thin and flexible, what about a tail off of one of the aliens from Avatar? a little paint and it might work fine.

I think if I was unsure about a tail I'd make a plug hole and then use something like the BFS female blnk pony tail. It looks like a horse's tail to begin with and you can swivel it different directions for action poses or pop it out if it hinders the armor.

I don't think the tail is necessary but the hooves would go a long way. I don't know what the solution for hooves might be, sculpting perhaps? The tail I can see but I'm not sure is necessary. The hair on the back is a great idea.
