I got this recipe figure from a fellow collector to turn it into a new custom figure. Nice challenge!
I can now present you: Pit Viper!

Image

Head: Serpentor '86 (modified)
Torso: Super Trooper '88 (modified)
Arms: Wild Card '88
Waist: Deep Six '89
Legs: Knockdown '87

Weapons: Marauder Inc

Bio:
Pit Vipers are the newest Cobra commando's. They don't carry much gear, because they seem to be specialists for the so called "fast in - fast out" missions. The helmet and chest gear seems to contain some kind of diving respiratory system, as Pit Vipers have been seen swimming under the surface for longer periods of time. It is unknown if these commando's work with the Eels or will eventually replace them, but they are certainly forces to be reckoned with!

you did a great job on the helmet/fangs! the color pallet is so close to muskrat maybe he should be a sea snake, swamp viper, or other semi aquatic name.

I renamed my PIT-Vipers to be Para Insertion Trooper-Viper.

The Para-Vipers might be the elite (HALO and SpecOps), but the PIT-Vipers would be more like your standard airborne trooper.

I do like that recipe though, and I have a bunch of gnarly Serpentir heads.

Thanks, I'm pretty satisfied about how the helmet came out too!

Thank you, DJ.
I'd make a few more if the head modifications weren't so difficult.

This is a really beautiful custom. The parts work so well together: it isn't easy to find a practical application for that Deep-Six waist, but somehow you made it look right at home, and those boots aren't an easy part to use, either. The head and chest are where this guy really shines, though. I wouldn't have guessed that adding a faceplate would completely remove any trace of Serpentor-ness, but it does.

Was the chest a happy accident? In the WIP pic, it looks like some of the Super Trooper armor broke off onto the base piece. However you arrived at that, it's fantastic.

What a nice idea and execution. THe bio is perfect for the figure. I see him under the direct command of Serpentor.

Yeah that is super clean. Great work on this. I love the red visor rather than the standard silver. Reminds me of those cool gold/brown with red visors Vipers from back in the day

Never thought of using a Serpentor head for a trooper, very interesting and well done.

Thanks a lot, Sgartz!
I got the chest exactly as in the pic: the armor was broken off indeed, one piece still attached with glue.

Thank you, there was enough blue, black and silver on him, so I really wanted the visor to pop with the orange.

I actually wasn't sure it would work myself, but it was a good motivation for this challenge!

This is cool, looks like Serpentor’s secret service or something. Very cool.
