Looks great. The only thing that throws me off is the beard. I don't know all that much about Solid Snake but from what I remember he had permanent 5 o'clock shadow. Did he get a full beard at some point? I just don't know so I'd love to learn more. The only other thing I'd say is one more thin coat of paint and your golden.

Yeah, the beard is a little distracting. Other then that, I dig it.

Thanks for the responses. I went back and adjusted the paint scheme of the beard to be less profound. I was going for the 5 o'clock shadow, but it wasn't working. Hopefully this is better.

Much better. Now it looks like Solid Snake.

Even with the touch up to the beard, he still looks more to me like Boris Said (racing fans, anyone?) than Snake. I tried a whole new head. LMK if this works better.

I really like the painting on this guy, the different tones of grey makes it really cool for sure. I like the 2nd head, not really liking the 1st head.

Went with the second head for Snake and then turned the first head into Outback, see first post!

Love 'em both! I really need to get to work on my Outback - he's been in the "to do" bin far too long.

Good call on swapping the original Snake head for Outback - they both look near perfect now.

Thanks Tim and Chief. I'm still not 100% happy with Snake, but Outback really turned out quite well. I was considered that the GH body would look odd, but after a few minor mods it fell together.

you're welcome, you've been doing a lot of really cool customs as of lately. I like that outback for sure, this is how hasbro should make him but with a new chest to be buffer.
these 2 are really great,
Tim

Outback looks really good. The pics of Snake aren't coming up, tho. ;)

Those are pretty cool. But, if you want that Solid Snake to be acurate, you should make his Headband a little lower.. his headband in the games is almost covering his eyes. But other than that, it looks great.

Outback looks great too!
