i have been swappng around parts for a few years with the plan to use a street fighter ken arah style head. first it was in an o-ring wip. then i hollowed it out modern style on a rumbler. i can't seem to get it to look right on a modern style figure.

other heads i'm trying are a "the corpse" diesel hollowed out and ravage, ken from streetfighter jazwares?, a rumblers guy that is far off, and the mcdonalds head. drbindy used the mcdonalds head with great success, but i was saving mine for beastmaster.

what am i missing? i looked through the gallery entries, searched, and googled images.

any body use something else?

my base figure keeps changing, and i know that is a big part of "which" head looks best. if i can find a better head i could work from it to pick the rest. i'm leaning towards diesel on the jp trooper base.

Took me forever - I tried some MU Thor heads, Sentry heads, but nothing worked for me. Finally went with an MU Hyperion with sculpted hair for my current WIP:

But then again, I'm using a pretty large base fig - other heads might work if you're using a smaller buck.

that looks amazing! my motu line up is pretty small in stature. i had no plans to use the mcdonalds motu stuff for actual motu characters, but as i got more into fantasy i used the beastman head on a dragon rider. that was it, then i just used the man at arms head and armor. so now i gotta make he-man and skelly :)

i'm way behind on pics. i have been just piddling a bit. soon though i hope to show off all my updated knights, wizards, and such. i think i've changed every one up at least a bit, some total re-do. i might take my 3rd incarnation of warduke apart to see if that body is more he-man.

The McD's figs are great fodder -- the chest emblem on my He-Man was taken off the McD He-Man fig (almost used the head, but it looked too squished.)

The McD Beast Man fig is almost perfect as-is if you don't mind limited articulation, but I bashed the head & shoulder armor onto an MU Sabretooth for mine:

I saw someone use this head for a Ken Masters custom. They put it on that 2-pack Ryu body and dyed the Gi. Not sure if this was the 'modern' head you referred too.

I thought it could be useful as He-Man.

Well, first you need a good Prince Adam head and then hold the Power Sword over it while saying, "By the Power of Grayskull...I HAVE THE POWER", then you'll have the perfect He-Man head. If you don't get it right try again with the proper enunciation and emphasis on I have the power.

Check out Plastic Curves, they have a good He-man 4 inch head.

i checked them out

pretty cool looking, but no scalable/size reference pics. i know it says 4", but that means a lot of things to different brands! i'm going with a nearly 5" he-man.

after much looking and comparing i believe this executioner is the poor mans hercules. i have one that i stripped down and it has all the same muscle/and leather details as far as i can see. i hate it will need full paint, but i can't pay $25 or more for a base figure. mine has some hacked on areas so i found a seller on ebay and got 2 more for $10.50 shipped. that is more inline for what i can spend at a time and it will come with bits i can use elsewhere.

i allready have 2 of the enchantress so i skipped the 2 pack and got just the big guys. the 2 packs are $9 or so on ebay.
