The keychain figures based on the Action pilot, soldier, diver, and marine. I know most of the figure parts are the actual Joe parts except where the chains connect to... How are they held together? And can they be taken apart for customs!?

The keychain figures are just like every ARAH figure, they are held together with an o-ring and one screw. The keychain is held through a small loop cast into the back torso of the figure. The keychain is removable and you can harvest their parts for customs. I've done it a few times in the past...

Also, Some actually have the keychain attached to a peg that’s glued in the screw

thanks guys. that's all what I was hoping for, the keychain figures are a good bit cheaper (i.e. reasonably priced) than the actual figures.

I managed to pick up quite a few sets over the years from a KB Express, and then cleaned them out when the sets were clearance before they closed.

I hooked all the chains together and that's about six foot long.

Some had a backpack plug, but the majority have the little loop, as mentioned above.

I planned to mod some AM/AS heads to make various Oktober Guard helmets.

I'd say the plastic quality is cheaper than the actual 30th anniversary figures, but otherwise yeah, they're the same.
