Another pretty wide theme here, basically if a character is known or has been known as a spy, they're fair game. Bond, Bourne, Black Widow, other characters that start with B! Dick Grayson, Brubaker and Epting's Velvet, Nick Fury, Mirage from the Transformers, Secret Squirrel, this guy:

So start humming the Bond theme and get those customs going!

UPDATE: Deadline for the challenge is Monday June, 27th at 12:00pm (noon) Eastern Time.

My Google image search for "agent provacatuer" is all models for the lingerie company of the same name...

I'm assuming those wouldn't count as viable subjects for this round though?

J/k great topic idea. Will have to give it some thought. After I finish this "research".

Careful you don't go blind. Might hinder those silky smooth paint jobs you're known for . . .

All the characters you mention are from roughly 'nowadays'. Is that an unspoken assumption of this round, that the character basically has to be set after WWII to 20ish years from now? To use a recent custom, would somebody like 300's Ephialtes count as a spy, despite being from a period before 'intelligence services' became a military specialty?

No, feel free to go as far back as you please. Spies have been around forever. Though a bit of research makes it sound like Ephialtes was less a spy than a turncoat. Still that's quibbling, and I'm not going to make everyone explain their reasoning. I'm sure it'll all shake out in the voting regardless.

Coolness. Yeah, Ephialtes isn't a perfect example. But nobody made a custom of that Jimmy McNulty guy that Queen Cersei stabbed in the Agora, lol.

Think I've got a solid idea for this round. Only have to find the time to do it.

Is there a difference between a spy and a secret agent?

In the interest of keeping things broad, I'd say no. I can't think of any fundemental difference anyway, and the terms are often used interchangeably.

I think it could be argued that a secret agent is a professional paid for services on multiple operations by an agency, while a spy may simply be an amateur doing a one-off operation; but there's no differences in the actual work that gets done by them.

I'll take part if I can, but next month is going be tight for me. I have a whole lot of talking about animated movies and series ahead of me, so it'll be hard to squeeze in time for customizing.

More ideas here.

I'm actually really excited about this. One, it's a category worth hitting more than once, Two, I want to update my Archer customs, and Three, I'm kind of interested in seeing what 5 years worth of better parts does for the final product.

Oh, and Four, having the walking database that is HypnoHustler shockingly not know something related to nerd culture. It's a first for me...

I even read through the previous contests to avoid repeating myself.

Dammit.

Ah well, it's been a few years, it's time to hit it again.
