I know that Hasbro catches a lot of grief for their repaints of figures, but here's a little different spin on it.

We take an unmodded figure (unless it has broken thumbs or crotch), no parts swapping, no sanding, just a fig like it came out of the package, and repaint it the way it should be. A prime example of the paint scheme are Chad and Matt's Mega Marines--gone is the neon, replaced with more military colors.

This project would put more of an emphasis on the skill of painting--especially details like eyes, and also camo.

Nice idea. I see lots of 90s joe figs looking for this one.

I like this idea. What about renaming characters or having them switch factions (like the Shock Viper)?

I think that would be up to the customizer. Provided the fig is repainted to meet the expectations of the maker, I think changing sides would be perfectly acceptable bio info.

Nope. Just an unmodded figure. Anything from straight arm figs to 25th style. Its the coloring on the fig that will matter not the fig itself.

Sounds like you've worked out all of the details. No mods, just paint. Any style 3 3/4 figure. Can be the same character or a new character.

This idea has been around for a while. It actually existed on the old message board (proposed by Matthew) and was carried forward by Void. I'm going to copy in that post, just to have it all in one place.

Project Repaint- Repaint figures with different colors to make them more consistant and uniform with joes/cobras. (ie, repaint a cyber viper to make him non-neon or cobra blue)

A straightforward and relatively simple project that could yield some incredible results.

Did you want to do figs only? Cause I think there are a bunch of vehicles looking for the same treatment.

I love this idea. It's really cool and you'd only have to get one figure for a change to do a custom.
