Hey all. Started a new project using only ONE piece of foamcore as a challenge. What do you think of a challenge where you build a playset or vehicle out of only one piece of foamcore?

what's the size of a piece of foamcore?

for that matter, does it have to be foamcore? can it be a same-size piece of masonite or plywood or plastic?

To paraphrase the guy who made his Masters of Evil NJC ARAH-only: "but that's why it's called a challenge!" ;)

I'd be all over this - got plenty of foamcore I've been hoarding for the day I get off my ass and start making dios again.

I really like this, since I just decided foamcore would be the perfect medium for my possible entry in the Create-Your-Own-Con GP.

I might as well ask, what glue is the best to use for gluing foamcore together?

In my limited experience hot glue does the trick pretty well.

Yep, hot glue baby! If you go for cool melt, you can get it off the foamcore while still soft without burning yourself.

The standard size of foamcore is pretty standard. There's one bigger, but you gotta get it from a bigger Hobby Lobby etc.

I got the idea when I started building one and all I had was one sheet of foamcore.

Needless to say, mine is getting done right now, so maybe it could be posted as a guide to what can be done with only one sheet.

Fixed that for you ZG.

(love ya CJ)

Also, I love this idea. The limitation is great for inspiring creativity, and the cost is pretty low, as well as foamcore being pretty universal to get.

I picked up this little dual blade exacto knife with adjustable thickness thing for making slots in the foamcore. This'd be a great excuse to use it.

I want.

Also I'd LOVE to do this project... That's why I don't want it to win yet cuz I aunt got the time. It's a great project idea though

Whats sad is I have my entry already ready to go. However, I would do another if this wins.
