Hello everyone, I need a little help here. Me and 42 other GI Joe fans have questions to ask to those 2 guys:
We all paid for a full year subscription ($100 + extras) to get 5 figs. Bottom line, we got nothing. Even worst, we have no updates.
Please help us getting in touch with Dave and Jaimanstone. You know them, you have their physical address, phone number, etc. Many thanks, Martin |

You know them, you have their physical address, phone number, etc. Many thanks, Martin Only thing I can suggest is asking Dark Wynter over at Angelforge as he took over Slayer Dave's business, and changed the name to Angelforge. That's honestly all the info I really know about the situation. |

Martin, Hi. I get what you are trying to do. As you mentioned above, all of us who bought subscriptions are in the same boat. I completely understand the argument that the OSC Club did not properly communicate updates, provide refunds, etc. However, I need to be very clear. You do not speak for me. I did not ask you to advocate on my behalf. Nor did you contact me asking to do so. If I have any concerns regarding this, I can personally bring it up with Dave if I ever see him. Kindly remove me from your list above. Thank you. |

I have left Dave many messages on facebook, as well as his gmail account, and have never gotten a reply. My only guess is that his cancer returned or some other health issue came up. I wish him all the best with his health, but I have the sinking suspicion that our cash went helped pay for some of his medical expenses, and if that is the case, it really sucks. I was not making much money at the time, and I saved my tips for a while to afford this club; I know that for some people $100+ it is not a huge amount of money, but for me it was. I know this makes me seem shallow or greedy to say, but I did not want to pay for someone else's treatments or whatever....I really cannot think of anywhere else that our money has gone to other than Dave or Jaimanstone's pocket. If Dave thought his cancer was going to come back, then he should have had Jaimanstone carry out the project, and it is his absence that I am the most concerned with, because at least Dave has an excuse to not be communicating with this group. This is worse than any experience I have had with that clown Alyosha, or anyone else who has custom made toy parts for sale. Hell, at least Alyosha blew my questions off for 6 months, but at least he delivered. I am going to send an email to the Angel Forge to see if they know anything, but I doubt it will get us any answers. |

To answer your questions. 1) I have no way of directly contacting Dave. Other than running into him by chance at a con or some meet-up (if he even were to attend). 2) From the rumors I have heard, this guy has gone through cancer, divorce and financial ruin. Odds are he has a stack of legal fees, medical bills, alimony and child support that he needs to pay. I am not interested in another avenue because I sincerely don't care about recouping the money. There are a couple of facts wrong here. Jaimanstone was more of an advocate for the project and helped with the website. All money went directly to Dave who handled all of the production. Unfortunately, life events prevented Dave and Slayer Designs from completing all, save a handful which Jaimanstone shipped out at his own expense. Dave still has the molds as far as I know. Angel Forge isn't Slayer Designs. When Dave relapsed, he sold/gave/bartered most, but not all, of the molds to DarkWynter, who with some of the sculptors opened up their new cast parts shop Angel Forge. They never saw any of the money Dave collected for orders either. They've been trying for a few years now to distinguish themselves from what Slayer was. I probably should mention that the site mascot head we were giving away at Con was sculpted and donated by them. As for Dave, I haven't heard from him despite several attempts to get in touch. Last I heard he's kind of in a cycle where the treatments work, then the cancer comes back, more treatment. If you and anybody else involved want to launch a crusade to get your money back, good luck with that. But at this point, everything that needs to be said on the matter has. If someone has any new information please PM it or email it to me. |
