Today's new profile is of the Funskool Road Pig figure:

https://forgotten--figures.blogspot.com ... d-pig.html

Despite Larry Hama's endorsement of the character, Road Pig never resonated with me. But, that doesn't mean his figure isn't well done.

I loved the original road Pig. Funskool's Roadpig was good, but man oh man was it cheaper feeling. That was the period of horrible Funskool QC issues and more often than not Road Pig here suffered botched bicep swivels or frozen elbow rivets. Other figures certainly had it worse in terms of mis-applied paint, but yours has the cleanest armbands I've ever seen on a Funskool sample. One other downside is that the Funskool version has lighter skintone than the US release. It makes parts swapping with him difficult.

Today's new profile is of the 2001 Cutter figure:

https://forgotten--figures.blogspot.com ... utter.html

This figure isn't bad. He's just nearly identical to the 1984 figure. Just a couple of slight color tweaks would have gone a long way towards making him more distinctive.

I got one of the Russian ones which seems to be a later production run. But, in the group of 18 or so figures I got, there were still several frozen arms. Sadly, they were on Spearhead and the Toxo Viper, both figures I really wanted to be good quality.

Today's new profile is of the 1993 Mail Away Interrogator figure:

https://forgotten--figures.blogspot.com ... -away.html

Interrogator is one of the best Cobra molds of the 1990's. While this color scheme isn't as solid as the original figure's, it has definite neon charm.

Today's new profile is of the 2018 Black Major Python Patrol Stormshadow figure:

https://forgotten--figures.blogspot.com ... ctory.html

I'm all for oddball figures. And, for some reason, this Python Patrol Stormshadow intrigued me. I don't know what to do with him. But, I had to have one!

Today's new profile is the 2004 Anti Venom Roadblock:

The Anti Venom set has found decent popularity since it's release. And, this Roadblock is a big reason why.

Today's new rarities post focuses on the Funskool Maltova promotional figures.

https://forgotten--figures.blogspot.com ... gures.html

There's some great Funskool colors in this batch and some cool kitbashes. But, the figures all have those terrible arms which greatly limits them for me.

OMG, I´ve got that Navigator (Dial Tone) and always thought it was a bad custom that I got in a lot!
Mystery solved, never heard of these Maltova figures.

You've got a gem if got one. They've gotten stupidly expensive.

Today's new profile is the 2000/2001 Rip It figure:

https://forgotten--figures.blogspot.com ... ip-it.html

It was great to get a cheap Hiss repaint at retail. But, the tank was oddly colored and the new driver was far from perfect.

Characterization aside, I have always liked the look of him because part of me would love to see COBRA stick to Blue/Red/Black for all of its troops. I understand from a design perspective, there needed to be more visual diversity in the ranks, but in my mind the red/silver of the original HISS Driver puts them on par with the Crimson Guard as far as rank, with those being prestige or ceremonial colors within COBRA.

Having said all that, I wonder what a HISS Driver in the gray and black of the Stinger Driver would look like...

I keep hoping we'll find out from one of the factory custom guys. Black Major has the chestplate. I'd take the chest, head and arms with a Cobra Trooper waist and legs to keep costs down. But, it hasn't happened, yet.

Today's new profile is part of the Cobra Convergence IV event:

He's not forgotten at all. But, this is the look that defined Cobra from the beginning. #CCIV
