Okay, this is rad.

Thank you, Dan! You have no idea how much of a fan I am of your customs and dios! I love the way you combine GI Joe and pop culture and just make it work-- I always look forward to your updates!

Thank you, everybody! Since this figure's loosely based on the Arkham games, I can't take too much credit. That RoC Doctor figure just screams Scarecrow. It's funny, but the body had already been completed as another custom (an original character), and I thought it worked better for Crane.

I had my doubts about the syringes, actually, and, every once in a while, get the bug to switch 'em out with real pins, which would probably be more in scale. Then I get back to whatever new piece I'm working on and forget :shifty:

Thanks for the love, more experiments on the way...

Egghead is a brilliant custom of an oft forgotten character.

That Arkham Scarecrow is my favorite design for the character and you've definitely done it justice.

Thanks again, gents! Egghead was one of those very left field moments of inspiration. Kinda had all the parts in front of me on the bench and it all came together. It's my little tribute to Mr. Price.

NEXT UP: THE ROCKETEER

The Rocketeer is one of those characters I've tried to make forever. He was one of my first, AWFUL customs I made when the movie debuted, made from a Sky Patrol ARAH figure. :rotfl:

He's not 100% on-model, because I never cared for the character's light brown leather flight jacket. Instead, I wanted something darker, like a WWII bomber jacket. While I'm finally happy with the figure, I have a feeling I'm going to end up a kit bashed rocket pack. Won't be happy otherwise.

Fantastic Rocketeer.
Really cool figure.

As a kid, I tried to make one out of a Drop Zone figure with GhostRider's leg and a Visionnaries' Witherquick helmet. It wasn't very convincing.

Thanks for all the love!

Rocketeer was pieced together over the course of a couple years after a few false starts, so the memory's a little fuzzy. He's primarily a 25th Crimson Guard, Indy lower arms, and Red Star legs(?). The head and rocket pack are from a vintage PVC figurine I'd had since I was a kid.

More experiments coming soon...

Very solid representation of a character I'd almost completely forgotten.

I think I saw a head in someone's cast goods store that resembles that.

Hunter art works has or had both the helmet and rocket pack both made by some guy who never has time to post .

Thank you, gents!

The Rocketeer was a custom I'd tried to successfully create for 20 years, at that point, but was never truly happy with. Now I'm finally pleased and have moved onto other projects that have eluded me.

May have cracked the rocket pack puzzle yesterday (while parting out 15-20 new figures, heeheehee) and stumbled across a fuel tank/backpack that just might work with some kit bashing... we'll see...
