Great work on the Bros! I really admire your drybrushing and shading.
Your Luigi's face also reminds me of Bazooka, but I don't mean that in a bad way at all!
Thank you Tim!
Got curious one day what Mega Bloks WW2 soldiers would look like painted up realistically to look like the Mario Bros. instead of the more cartoon style... the proportions are still very much like the game, so the figs are still stylized.
YES!!! I see the Bazooka resemblance for sure! It's funny you mention it, since he was giving me a Gung-Ho/Leatherneck vibe, too. Bazooka makes sense, though, since I loved his figure as a kid.
Getting inspired to work on some villains now, but I'm keeping it very freeform: I'm building what speaks to me the most, instead of meticulously planning pieces that may never come to pass.
That said, I've got a unique take on a classic Mario baddie that I can't wait to share!

Sweet, I'm looking forward to all of this! I've got a lot of fond memories of the Super Mario games.
Me too! I've loved the Mario games ever since the first 8-bit Nintendo!
Gonna work on some bad guys, some weapons, and even some playsets in the planning/design stages, very much in line with this aesthetic.
I'd love to make some karts for them, but I'm debating between building my own or modding some of the JAKKS stuff. The drivers look to be about the same scale.

Shifting gears a little bit, away from Mushroomland and heading into the furthest reaches of the galaxy. Finally ready to debut some more of my customs from my sci-fi verse!
