First, I want to congratulate all of the JoeCustoms Awards nominees and eventual winners. It was so much fun looking over all these awe inspiring customs.
You can see and hear all of the JCA results here - http://www.joecustoms.com/features/jcas/jcas.php?y=2017

Second, I want to thank Tim 121RVC for doing some heavy lifting this year. He banged out several topics, the Virtual Con topics, and the always popular Card Art Comparisons, as well as spearheading almost all of the customizer interviews. Second, PHX Customs for their Retro Toy project reveals. They kept things interesting along the way. And finally to all of you for stepping up and enjoying this time of year as much as we do. Sometimes it feels like we're juggling cats while balancing on a log that's on fire, so it is always nice to see you guys jumping in and playing along. Work, a power outage, and the Unicorn Addict coming down with bronchitis kept me from being as involved as I wanted to be this year. I feel like I let the wind out of the sails here at the end, but hopefully there was enough going on to keep you all interested, and more importantly, get those creative juices flowing to get you customizing through the rest of this year.

That leads to the last part of this closing announcement. Where have we failed you? Too far? Ok, fine. What can we improve for next year? What drew your interest the most? What did you skip entirely whenever you saw it? Don't be bashful. You'll only hurt our feelings a little. We'd rather know now than spend the time next year on it instead of something better. What was missing? I can tell you right now, at least two tutorials were in the works and had to be put on the back burner. It happens. But was there something else you were looking forward to or expecting that never happened? Let us know.

Wow, I can't remember when I saw so many RAH style figures win, it's great to see people are still customizing them! Congrats to all of the winners and their great customs!

I'm pretty shocked by my win for best overall figure customizer, to be honest. I listened to the podcast, and for the record (I think it was drbindy who asked?), I didn't win this award for 2016. It would have been difficult, since 2017 was the first year I submitted anything to the gallery. In fact it was OreoBuilder who won last year. And the year before. And the year before that. And the year before that. Which explains my surprise.

Yeah, thanks for the votes and especially the great words in the "'most improved customizer" category.

Congrats to all the winners, it was a great year

Why jump on the bandwagon, when you can ride the Short Bus?

YEAH bindy! Shows how much you know! :-D

I think we might need a fact checking/research assistant intern whenever we record. By this/that point during Custom Celebration, my mind is moosh. I cna't remember what I wore yesterday, much less who won which category. Plus juggling a phone and two laptops...What were we talking about again? Oh that's right, congrats.

Thanks so much for all the votes. I’m always honoured to win in any category but the fact I’m even considered in photography is a great feeling. It’s something I’m really trying to improve. I love using the outdoors as my canvas so to speak. Here’s a few of my favourites that I don’t think I posted on here. ImageImageImage

Hold on - still researching....

Yeah, I'm not sure exactly what I was thinking at that point. Well, other than raging jealousy at being the bridesmaid again... lol. In seriousness, though congrats.

According to my research, thanks to your wins this year, you have now won more JCAs than anyone in the history of the award.

Congrats Bud, like I said before I’m glad you’ve stuck with it. That Rolling Thunder dio is amazing.
