We had 26 Nomination ballots submitted this year. This is the index to the links for all of the polls for the 1st Round of voting. You can vote for 5 in each category with the top 5 vote getters moving on to the final voting ballot. If you don't see the category, then there we only recevied 6 or less nominees in those categories, with the exception of the Gyre Lifetime achivement award which will have all nominees on the final ballot. Best of luck to all of you, you certainly have your fans. Polls close 11:59pm EST Sunday, February 17th.

Also, if you see any mistakes in the polls, please let me know. I tried to remove duplicates and ensure correct links but I'm tired now and it all looks the same. My goal isn't to hurt anyone and if I missed something or messed something up I'd like to make it right.

1. I believe I nominated the Motor Viper Officer in Best Non-4" figure, but now I see it doesn't belong in that category. Sorry about that....
2. My Amirani is listed three times in Best O-ring Construction figure.

Great job Pluv, putting this all together again!

Fixed #2. I can see how I missed it once with different names, but missing it again? Double demerits for me.

I am happy and honored that one of my customs made the list. I'm getting ready to start an ambitious undertaking in my customs this year.

I wonder if some curation is needed in the nominations in future? A couple of things that stood out to me for example - Satin is doing very well in the voting for best Joe figure - but Satin is not a Joe. And my Hydro-Demon has the most votes in the LBC category right now - but that figure is not an LBC. Every bit of it is painted, the accessories are all painted, and it has a custom-made hose connection for the mask.

Satin was submitted to the custom gallery as a Joe figure.

Satin was submitted to the custom gallery as a Joe figure.

Sure I understand that, but Satin isn't a Joe. But then I guess the issue is with the gallery submissions rather than the nomination process?

it's always been up to the submitter to say what category their custom gets submitted to. there are some rules in place to require a joe tie in with parts or story to even get submitted at all.

you can find destro's all over, not just IG. if you made a bio for destro to swap sides and join the joe team then that version would be a joe (for submission purposes).

same with Hulk Hogan not a joe per say, but if I made him a joe then he gets submitted to the joe category.

trying to enforce some strict code of submissions would just drain creativity.

Yeah I understand that, but I'm not suggesting there needs to some very strict code. The Satin figure in question, for example, based on the text submitted with her, is not a Joe. It says she briefly helped the Joes in one instance, which reflects her cartoon appearance. It just seems odd that she could win the Joe category, when even the submission doesn't suggest she's actually a Joe, just that she helped them out once. But I suppose calling the category "Best Figure Submitted as a Joe" doesn't exactly roll off the tongue?

The LBC issue I mentioned is a different ball of wax though, since no ones submits something as an LBC, and a number of the LBC nominees are clearly not LBCs.
