Project entries due Sunday, July 14th before 11:59pm PST

Mysterious Stranger wrote:
After their defeat at the hands of the G.I. Joe team the Cobra-La survivors went into hiding. In one of his many secret laboratories Dr. Mindbender with the assistance of Pythona has brought Golobulus back to life. Reborn stronger than ever the Cobra-La ruler amassed an army larger than any seen before. Using a global network of lava tubes the Cobra-La army spread out across the planet and launched a worldwide attack that quickly overran the defenses of nearly every country who stood in their way. Declaring himself Emperor of this new world, Golobulus rules over a mutated and evolved planet. The only resistance lies in pockets hidden around the world where the remnants of the G.I.Joe team, Cobra, the Oktober Guard and other factions lie low, planning and plotting for one final push to save humanity and the world.

This project imagines a world ruled by Cobra-La, where humanity is enslaved and experimented on, flora and fauna have been mutated and transformed and the planet is an expansion of the hidden world of Cobra-La introduced in G.I. Joe: The Movie. All human armies and military organizations have either been destroyed or are lying hidden, scattered across the globe. How does the G.I. Joe team look in this new, alien environment? What new alliances have been formed in the wake of Golobulus' takeover? How do you fight against a force that uses the planet itself as a weapon? Who survived? Who has sided with Cobra-La? Who stands against them? How will the world look during The Reign of Cobra-La?

No limit on characters. No character claiming. Open to all formats. Vehicles and playsets encouraged.

Does this mean I can make more than 2 characters?

I ask that you not do more than 5 unless there is a specific need, ie a special team. We try it to keep it from one person dominating the whole project with sheer volume, but it is very flexbile.

Had fun with a logo to promote this. Ended up being a mishmash of Golobulus's eye and the pit monster from Destro's castle in the cartoon.

Thanks everyone. I don't always have the time or inspiration to do a logo for the Group Projects, but when I do it's a lot of fun.

We've come a long way from my first one...

At first, didn't think I would participate.

Now... my brain is making with the idears again. FUN ideas if I can pull them off/don't get sidetracked like with the OG (looks over at the box with all the parts on my right and sighs) might be fun.

I didn’t want to put a limit on characters to try to increase participation. But like pluv said, try to keep it reasonable and relevant to the part of the story you are telling.

first gp I've been in on in awhile. I've already got 5 wip figures. is a vehicle or dio on top of that good to go? like one of my figures is the vehicle operator and the dio is just setting the scene for it all.

I mean, I don't know if it is the best approach, but I've been thinking about if animals and plants started a war against humans, what would that look like? Soemwhere between Attack of the Killer Tomatoes meets werewolves. Think about what animals or plants might be formidable or even scary to you and go from there.
