Fast Track won numerous championships in drag racing back in college. But he only considered drag racing as a hobby. What he really wanted was to be a military like his grandfather. After fulfilling his parents' wish to finish Mechanical Engineering in college, Fast Track enlisted in the army and trained Infiltration. But Fast Track really has a knack for fast vehicles. The army top brass saw how fast and efficient he maneuver 4WDs in battle that he was made Transport Assault Officer in the battle field, bringing troops in action and getting them out of harm's way.

Beach head was impressed with Fast Track's record and he was eager to enlist Fast track in the new Rawhides line-up. But Fast Track opted to join The Syndicate instead, which is an international and much more hardcore unit of G.I. Joe.
