"An old threat has re-emerged with a mission to bring the world as we know it to its knees. Led by the enigmatic Col. Panzer, it is simply called the Axis. To battle this new incarnation of evil, the Joe team has unleashed a team of 'Allies' led by the original Joe himself, Gen. Joseph Colton. Colton and his clandestine team of hero's have declared war on the Axis of Evil, but the fate of the world is in your hands with the heavily armed, fully posable action figures!"

"To say Ghost is an enigma wrapped in a puzzle and then slathered with mystery sauce doesn't begin to do him justice. His entire existence is nothing more than rumor and hearsay, and yet somehow he's been actively operating since as far back as World War 1, which should be impossible. Ghost is a highly skilled commando and expert at infiltration and impersonations, able to mimic the look and sound of any mark.
You've heard of the unknown soldier? That's Ghost. He's been active duty longer than most Joe's grandparents have even been alive. Everything you hear about him sounds impossible, and if I hadn't witnessed him in action on more than one occasion I wouldn't have believed the stories either. But its all true. Those scary stories soldiers stay up late telling each other? Its Ghost they're talking about.

Similar to Col. Panzer, this characters origins began as a planned member of a comic book I was working on. He was that comics version of the Unknown Soldier, a commando dressed in all black with mask and no face underneath. He could assume the identity of anyone, and could pass through solid objects. That second ability has been removed as he's made the transition from comic book superhero to GI Joe member.
The design of the figure was taken straight from the comic sketch pages. Ghost was dressed head to toe in black like Snake Eyes, wore a high tech mask and goggles, and had a skull face underneath.
I didn't bother to take any pictures of him without his mask as he would never allow anyone to see what really lies beneath.
