Design:

The Bad Guys were the team of villains introduced by Remco in 1982. They were made of repainted Sgt. Rock parts, molded in black uniforms. Remco's non-Nazi rivals for its Sgt. Rock line and GI Joe, they were even brazen enough to fight your MASH action figures. I've wandered off into many non-Joe lines at this point. MASK/VENOM, Eagle Force/RIOT, Johnny Quest, Centurions, James Bond, Action Man/Council of Doom, and even Marvel's Tony Stark. Some of those strain logic a bit to get into a GI Joe continuity. But The Bad Guys? They fit as snuggly as Eagle Force/RIOT. The Bad Guys are mercenaries eager to make some coin.

For Hawk, who was a repaint of Shark when Remco released them, the simple fatigues define the character. The Snake-Eyes arms add a bit of interest to the otherwise intentionally bland design.

The head is an unidentified cast (maybe a Marvel Universe head?) done by Star Wars Geek. It helps distinguish Hawk from Shark, who were clones when done by Remco. Hawk had gold elements and Shark had silver. Giving them unique heads helps develop them.

Colors & Paint:

Based on the Remco action figure, with gold on the boots and helmet- plus the forearm bracers.

Sculpting & Modifying:

The head is cast (by starwarsgeek). The neck was built up with epoxy. The pin holes, mid-torso articulation point, and thigh screw insets were epoxied smooth. The backpack is also a cast, and the pouches are push molds.

Thanks for looking.
