The Adventure People line was launched by Fisher Price in 1975. The sturdy sets allowed older kids to act out various action and adventure scenarios with the 4'' figures and vehicles. I had a few sets as a kid (still have my Safari Truck packed away somewhere). Since I built a homage to the Safari Expedition in 2015, I thought it would be fun to go back and make the proper figures for the set.

I started with Jim, the dad, or the leader of the expedition depending on how you look at it. He was a pretty straight forward build. I used similar parts to my other Adventure People figures that I have made so far. The Spirit hands homage the strange sculpted hands of the originals.
