Kamikaze lives for danger, he's the first Joe to jump head first into a hail of Cobra gunfire if it gets him closer to his target objective. He's not suicidal by any means, but it certainly seems that way to many of his teammates and even the enemy, which is how he earned his codename.
Kamikaze is often the butt of many jokes as well for being half Japanese, and not knowing a single iota of martial arts.

This was a relatively simple custom, and he was inspired by another custom figure I saw here at the site called Wildcat.
