Leviathan was trained in the US Army and after the wars in the middle east he and his business partner Long Range stayed behind to become private contractors. Their company Rock Solid began by taking jobs as bodyguards for construction crews and news teams that needed to get into the rough areas. With little action Leviathan soon grew restless. He began taking jobs that required more force and provided a chance to fire his guns. The riskier and shadier jobs always paid more and Leviathan gravitated towards those contracts. Long Range disagreed with his actions and dissolved their business. Long Range returned to the United States where he joined GI Joe.

Leviathan remained in the area but as he took more jobs he made enemies. Finally he had to leave the area and find a safe place to lay low. It was around this time he met Major Bludd who had just escaped Cobra Island, leaving his last team of mercenaries behind. Bludd took Leviathan on as his bodyguard and apprentice. Now Leviathan has a mentor and a boss. Be sure that where ever Bludd is found, Leviathan is close by.
