Snake Bite is best known for taming the infamous Constrictor, a dangerously unstable HAVOC prototype that killed many an engineer during development. Unfortunately for his GIJoe career, that's about it. Bad taste in music - his favourite playlist is a revolting mix of Sex Pistols and Tori Amos - didn't help him make friends: no one ever recommended him into the elite force.

After being overlooked one time too many he became furious. He went down to the Pit, broke in and stole the HAVOC he had previously modified with stealth enhancements. Ironically, the skills he showed that day were impressive enough to get him into Joe academy, as was later reported in the official investigation. Nevertheless, he went looking for Cobra in all the wrong places. Frustrated and even madder, he got into vicious fights in multiple bars. The trail of booze and destruction he left finally attracted Cobra recruiters, who were foolish enough to take him in. They realized their mistake by the time he sobered up, but it was too late. He was back to being the relatively uninteresting and mostly annoying guy he always was. Some Cobra intelligence officers still wonder if he isn't some incredibly subtle form of psychological warfare; he may be a sleeper agent sent to reduce overall Cobra effectiveness using disturbing music and boring conversation.
