Back in the days of the Q and A's about the Joe line they mentioned a S.A.W. Viper was in the works. I was excited, as the troop type had such a great impact on the Marvel comic, and none of the figures really worked terribly well. It never materialized though, and we've never seen any kind of prototypes or designs for this supposed figure. Personally, I think that's because they decided to make it a Destro. Now, I'm okay with that, because I doubt we would have gotten that awesome money case with a SAW Viper, but I don't really need a Destro in that look either. So, after lucking into some of that Destro in the wild (and not realizing how hard he'd turn out to be to get) I decided they should be the figure I thought they'd been intended as from the start. Of course the Club then decided to do their own, but I think I like mine a bit better.
