Spirit was a character that I could just never get into. The Devil's Due "Commando Spirit" look helped the character immensely, but it's getting so you can't swing a dead cat without seeing a custom Spirit in a black jumpsuit so I wanted to stay away from that. When I got the comic pack Baroness, I eventually ripped off her hair and noted that it would look neat for Spirit. The '92 Spirit head has a lot of character, but the hair that it comes with just didn't do it for me. With the comic pack Baroness hair, (and a little headband that I sculpted on), he was good to go. The rest of him was pretty much just ripping off the basic look from Billy in Predator (admit it...he's the only reason 90% of us ever thought Spirit was cool).

Because the hair prevented any easy use of a backpack, I opted instead to have him carry most of his gear on his person. The nicely sculpted Action Marine waist was exactly what I needed (as well as some added pouches on his chest). The knife sheath was designed to be mobile so that it would always be hanging downward (i.e., when he's crouching, the sheath dips at a 90 degree angle).

I opted not to give him a Freedom. No real reason...I just didn't have any good-looking eagles lying around and I figured a simple repaint of the original would be boring. If I ever find an adequate eagle, I'll probably add him as a little update.
