Sci-Fi: "I'm more of an original series guy, although I liked Next Generation, especially the USS Bozeman, which Brannon Braga (who came up with the Borg) named for the town where he grew up in Montana. I never could get into DS9 - too much warfare and politics. I thought Voyager was a good idea, but it ran into the same problem right away. I'm more into science fiction for the individual morality tales and essential optimism. Like Harlan Ellison says: all futuristic sci-fi is essentially optimistic because it presupposes that humanity has a future. That's the kind of fiction I can dig."
