A simple housewares clerk who's life turns upside down on a camping trip with his girlfriend when he stumbled upon the Book of the Dead, the Necronomicon. Reciting the words from the book, Ash unknowingly arises the dead. His girlfriend becomes possessed and he time travels to ancient times. There he is called upon to fight the deadites, or undead to save the simple towns folks he's encountered in his time travels.
