At first thought, it may seem that Slipstream should have been the pilot of Jetfire considering he took the form of a Conquest X-30, but his current form is not the entire story of Jetfire as a Joe. He joined the Joe team as a Skystriker as it was the main platform in use at the time. Ace spent years working with Jetfire and they not only learned each other's ways, they became great friends. So, when Jetfire decided he wanted the smaller and more maneuverable alt form of the Conquest, Ace had to learn the new plane along with him.
