I made this Scoop custom because I love the figure and character for Scoop, but I've always disliked the yellow jumpsuit that he got stuck with by Hasbro. So, knowing that, I decided to repaint ol' Scoop here so that he could be used in the field (much like my Low-Light custom) and have a suitable outfit. I like how he turned out although the paint job looks MUCH better in person. Scoop is another figure that was made right the first time but like many Hasbro figures, he just had a bad paint job. Giving him a more traditional BDU style looks much better.

Following the demise of the original team, Scoop returned to Chicago and got a job working for the local news. His pedestrian pasttime didn't last long as two years later he was back working for the government. This time he found himself leashed to the DoD documenting illicit dealings for the US Gov't. As the years have passed, he's found himself questioning the motives behind his DoD employers, but every time he's gone looking for answers, he's only found more questions. Now he's anxious to find out who's pulling the strings behind the scenes as it appears more and more like the men in charge of the DoD are not the ones requesting his operational footage. Even now no one knows just who Scoop is actually working for, not even Scoop himself.

Since returning to military journalism, Scoop goes where the action is. If bullets are flying and people are dying, Scoop is there to document the action. He's been travelling all across the globe and seeing exotic parts of the world since he left G.I. Joe. But all of those travels have been because of a job, a mission. Some of the missions are more overt than others, like covering the clan wars in Africa, or the peace keeping missions in Kosovo. But other missions, many others, are Black Ops buried behind yards of red tape: Missions that require him to film an insertion or a rescue... occasionally even an assassination. Scoop isn't "officially" back on the Joe team, but he tags along on several missions, always with his camera rolling, capturing the team in action. Even though he did much the same his first time on the team, now he seems distant, more standoffish. The official team members aren't quite sure what to make of Scoop these days. Is he a DoD lackey? A Juggler stooge? Just a cameraman doing his job? No one's quite sure... but everyone makes sure to keep an extra eye on Scoop when he tags along.
