As Deadwood's personal bodyguard, Shang-Hai was part of the package that Zanzibar got in his deal with Deadwood. A non-stop talker and never serious in anything, Shang-Hai is extremely dangerous with any weapon he can grasp. He uses the environment to his advantage and almost anything becomes a deadly weapon in his capable hands. And to make things worse, Shang-Hai always seems to have a smart aleck remark before, during, and after a fight.
