The War Pigs are the elite division of the MEDUSA's armed forces. While each world terror organization that feeds into MEDUSA's system often carries its own specific field unit identity, the War Pigs are the best of the best, making them, from the free world's perspective, the worst of the worst.

While it is a MEDUSA unit, they have uniforms which are slightly bastardized versions of the Cobra Crimson Guard. Because they have been so successful, they follow a very loose command structure, and even looser uniform regulations.

The unit's field commanders do mostly hail from the Cobra organization, which has the MEDUSA high council mildly alarmed by the recent rumblings that The Commander may still be alive.

General Gutz has had a long, storied, and violent military career, almost exclusively in the realm of gun for hire. He had a noteworthy run of successful mercenary missions with his former partner Major Bludd. There are still stories told in the international intelligence community of the exploits of "Bludd and Gutz".
