After the defeat he suffered in Cobra-La, Golobulus believed dead, began to rebuild his empire. He took a different approach this time and began using the surrounding wildlife to build his army. It began with two turtles that had somehow survived the cold outside environment and found shelter in the jungle like Cobra-La. He used a mutagen he discovered and created his first two warriors of his new army, Slash and Leonardo. Slash was a sinister raging beast and Leonardo a stealthy and skillful warrior who would eventually see the wrong in Golobulus and become allies with the humans. Slash became obsessed with destroying Leo and this drove him to become Golobulus' greatest warrior!
