I watched The Expanse on drbindy's recommendation and the next thing I knew I was binging through 3 seasons over two weeks. It is really good. One of the characters is Detective Joe Miller portrayed by actor Thomas Jayne. While he isn't the main character, he is a big part of an ensemble cast that makes the show great. I was messing around with parts and came up with an easy body for his detective look from the show. My first thought for the head was the non-bearded head from the BFS barbarian. drbindy and I both agreed it was in the right neighborhood, but didn't have the right, I don't know, beat down by life on the belt look. I was actually looking for a possible head for one of the other characters, when I started thinking if I shaved the beard and cut the hair on the side it could work for Miller. Some xacto blade, sanding, goo gone, more xacto cutting, and a little more sanding later and the head was pretty dead on.

While I was working on the head, I was still watching the show. Space suits, and lots of them, play a big part. The characters often have to work on the outside of their ships which includes exploring abandoned stations and ships. Miller is no exception and my mind started racing for a quick and easy, but relatively accurate, space suit for him. Combing through YoJoe led me to the Aqua Viper Officer body. The helmet was the closest thing I had to the show, but I'm still working on ideas for the other characters. A couple of bits and stickers later and he has a closer resemblance to his show look. Not dead on, there are better stills from the show with more details I missed. So he might be in for an upgrade at some point.
