All: '87 Maverick

My first go at Sonic Fighters included some new characters and existing characters, but lacked any straight repaints. While some of the figures were cool and found a permanent home in my collection, others ended up being re-purposed or scrapped entirely.
However, I wasn't done with Sonic Fighters quite yet. I wanted to make a new wave of Sonic Fighters more in line with the original assortment back in '90 and focus on cool repaints of existing figures.

Maverick possesses extensive experience and skill working with the latest in experimental voice actuated weapon systems and biocybernetic wireless flight controls. He has the physical strength to withstand massive G-forces, reflexes of an Olympic gymnast, and the eyesight of hawk. He wasn't the best choice to strap a Sonic Fighters jet pack on his back...he was the only choice.

To Maverick, dive bombing a Cobra convoy taking out infantry with a 30 cal handheld quick recycling laser cannon while dodging ASP emplacement anti-aircraft fire is no different to Maverick than strafing Iowa cornfields in his mothers old Stearman crop-duster.
