Design/Character:

I planned on making a NS version of "General Mayhem", as both the ARAH and Modern Era GI Joe Collectors' Club versions seemed cobbled together. Neither of those figures really landed, and I wanted a version of General Mayhem that did justice to the character.

Although the GIJCC didn't get either figure right, the filecard steals the show. It tells an interesting story. It is a very well written bit of copy.

It recounts Mayhemovski crossing the line from vicious soldier to blatant war criminal. That concept lays the groundwork for this figure, which can be thought of as a "prequel" figure to the ones that the GIJCC released.

So, instead of the Iron Grenadier's General Mayhem, here we see Mayemovski as he appeared on his last mission while still a soldier. I still might get around to making a IG General Mayhem, but for now I'm satisfied.

The Knockdown helmet has that techno-laden look that both GIJCC versions of General Mayhem had, so it's likely that the character would have worn something similar to that when younger.

Colors & Paint:

Military appropriate colors, with a few flourishes. The hair is still grey, but a darker grey than on the GIJCC figures, to indicate that he's younger.

Sculpting & Modifying:

The pointy top of the helmet was removed. The corner of the eyepiece viewer was cut at an angle to fit better against the nose.

The vest is extended with kibble, and then topped with push-mold pouches.
