Head: Fisher Price Adventure People wilderness stoner
Torso, arms: Modern Era Stalker
Hands: ???
Legs: NS Sgt. Hacker
Vest: Star Wars- Rebel Soldier
Weapon: Marauder

Character:

A Palitoy Action Force action figure, Stake-Out was the SAS Force's commando assault specialist/boat pilot.

Design:

An update of the Palitoy design using modern era and new sculpt parts, plus an Adventure People head. The crazy long legs help the pumpkin head work with torso.

The Adventure People head also keeps Quickfire, Beaver, and Stake-Out from looking likes clones of each other, as the Palitoy figures lazily shared a head. Palitoy was so lazy that they even had the same hair color. 1982 Hasbro would have at least given different hair colors to shared heads.

Colors & Paint:

The original figure by Palitoy was black. If I were doing this figure by itself, I'd go that route. However, 2022 is the year I'm also doing Remco's The Bad Guys, who wore black uniforms. So that Stake-Out doesn't appear to be one of the TBG's, should I ever do a 2022 group shot, his uniform is shifted to solid black with a grey sweater, plus dashes of green, red, and light blue. The grey also makes the thinner arms and torso appear larger against the beefier legs and head.

The AP head also features sculpted hair under the knit cap. Fortunately, it is so lacking in details that I was able to paint it as a dry hoodie tucked under the knit cap, something a boat pilot might wear.

Sculpting & Modifying:

The head is cast, with the neck removed an a hold drilled out for the neck post. The hood bottom and the vest collar are sculpted. The thigh screw insets are epoxied smooth. Epoxy also repairs the upper legs. Both legs were reworked slightly to fit the hip sockets.

Thanks for looking.
