I have fond memories of this version of Dr. Mindbender. I was in college at the time he came to the shelves. I stopped collecting the figures probably 8 or 9 years before, but my good friend "K" and I were rediscovering G.I.Joe. K's little brother had started buying the figures and we were intrigued with the '93 lineup. We would get together and drive around town to all the Walgreens, Rite-Aids, Eckerd's and Revco's to see what we could snatch up. Usually there was only one figure at any store. The rule was that whoever got the the figure first could buy it. K was wily and got most of the figures we found, but I was able to grab a Mutt that year (minus the Junkyard that someone had stolen from the package) and also a Dr. Mindbender. He was probably the very last vintage figure I ever bought.
