Character:

Way Up High is an original character, a pilot for high altitude spy aircraft requiring pressure suits.

Design:

While parting together my Skystriker custom and looking at reference photos, I kept seeing images of pilots in baggy orange flight suits with fishbowl helmets. These turned out to be the more environmentally self-contained pressure suits worn in very high altitude surveillance aircraft. Well, that's gotta be a custom, of course. The Ace helmet was the starting point, and I used 25A and NS parts that would roughly approximate the look of the real-world WB-57 and similar pressure suits.

Colors & Paint:

Orange, and lots of it. Plus green, grey, silver, white, and black. I carried the white over from the helmet onto the buttons and knee pads, which don't exist on the real world pressure suits.

Sculpting & Modifying:

The (human) head is a cast by starwarsgeek. The alternate/helmet is its own head, filled with epoxy to accept the neck post. The "shelf" that the bottom of the helmet rests on is sculpted from epoxy. The belt groove was also filled with epoxy to smooth out the body and create the "one piece" pressure suit look. The shoulder/elbow pins and thigh screw insets were filled with epoxy, too.

Thanks for looking.
