Design:

This custom fuzes one of Marvel Comics' Cover Girl design with that of the Classified line. Plus a mini-scarf for the stylish former model.

In Marvel Comics, Cover Girl is part of the team that tries to apprehend Dr. Appel at his suburban home. The artwork of Cover Girl is inconsistent. She has a constantly-changing hair style and uniform throughout the issue. But artist Rod Wigham drew her in a uniform different than that of the action figure, simply leaving off the leather jacket and replacing her rugged combat boots with stylish lady boots.

Then there's the Classified Cover Girl, which features an open jacket. It also loads lots of gear on/for Cover Girl, including shin armor plates, gloves, and the most imposing shotgun.

The two designs merge surprisingly well. Up top, the auburn pageboy style haircut of the classified figure. Down below, the boots are a nice mid-point between the lady boots of the Marvel design and the streamlined combat boots of the classified figure.

Colors & Painting:

Based on the comic book and Classified figure. Instead of the tan for the shirt and brown for the webgear, they're replaced with a vanilla yellow and green, respectively. This sidesteps the figure having an "Indiana Jones" color scheme.

Sculpting & Modifying:

Lots of work on this one.

The head was removed, and replaced with the Rystall head. The Rystall head had its hair and mini-fins removed and replaced with sculpted hair.

The horribly large Baroness shoulders were thinned down, then re-scultped/smoothed with epoxy, which also fills the elbow pins. The Baroness hands were removed, and replaced with the larger NS ones (maybe Ace?). Scraps of the Princess Leia dress were added as sleeve cuffs.

The hands/wrists are positioned to accommodate the shotgun.

After the arms were put in, the neckerchief and fur collar were sculpted on with epoxy. Epoxy also smoothed out the figure's back, where the molded-on tools were removed. More scraps of the Princess Leia dress were added to extend the jacket down to the hips.

The working holster (something I never care for) was removed, and replaced by the computer tablet. The tablet itself is made from two bits of Star Wars kibble glued together.

The boots were chopped off and removed, replaced by the Cobra CLAWS boots. The legs were still too short, so the boots were cut at the ankle and spaced out a bit.

Thanks for looking.
